ABOUT YOUR BROWS

MICROBLADING

This service is meant to look natural and is best for clients who have a good amount of natural brow hair. It Enhances the natural appearance of your brows by perfecting the shape and filling in those sparse areas. Microblading heals best on young, dry/normal skin types.
If you have combination/oily or mature skin you are a better suit for a combo or ombre brow style.

WARNING If you are wanting to ditch the brow powder entirely this is not the best style for you. Instead, book a combo or ombre look!

COMBINATION BROW

(Microblading + Shading): My personal fav! The perfect amount of natural but glam, if you have very sparse brows this is the style for you! The combination of shading and hair like strokes blends out any sparse areas, creating a more defined shape and fullness in the brows. Remember all styles are customized and can achieve a variety of natural or more filled in looks!

This service is perfect for MOST skin types, including combination/oily and mature skin!

OMBRE (All shading)

Using a Machine, a pixelation of color is deposited into the skin resulting in a powdered filled in look. This service has no strokes but can be added if requested. What’s great about this style is its longevity. It last the longest and has the least amount of trauma to the skin. Great for all skin types but is best for oily and mature skin.

The color pay off is intense in the beginning but once healing is done results to a soft and powdery finish. It Mimicking the look of your brows when they’re filled in with brow powder.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Although it last up to three years it is designed to fade over time. Many factors play a role in the longevity of your permanent make up. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications and pigment color affect the tattoo. Continuous exposure to sun light and tanning beds can break down pigment at a faster rate. It is crucial you follow your aftercare instructions for best healed results and touch up your brows as needed (12-18 months). Touch ups are normal and expected for permanent makeup.

WARNING, please note that final results vary and CANNOT be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals. A 6-8 follow up appointment is required after your initial session. This is where we perfect and asses your pigment retention and adjust and address any concerns.

  • The following list below disqualifies anyone to receive permanent make up if:
    1. Pregnant or breast feeding
    2. Currently using or have been on Accutane within the last 12 months
    3. Have freshly tanned/sunburned face
    4. Rosacea
    5. Currently taking blood thinning medications
    6. Currently undergoing cancer treatments
    7. Chemotherapy or Radiation treatments within the last 12 months

  • 1. Excessive Bleeding: During the procedure it is crucial you don’t have excessive bleeding, as it will greatly affect how your body will retain the pigment. Excessive bleeding will also cause the pigment to fade quickly and heal ashy. While bleeding is not entirely in our control, its important to follow the Pre-care instructions to help minimize bleeding. This information you can find below in Pre-care Instructions.

    2. Oily Skin: Increased oil production can cause strokes to blur, fade rapidly or not take at all.

    3. Sun Exposure: Excessive sun exposure will cause fading. Since it is similar to a tattoo you want to protect your healed brows from the sun. I highly recommend clients to buy Cannasmack Ink Guard on Amazon.

  • I am extremely picky about the clients I take who have previous pmu by another artist. It must be 80% faded and you have to email me a picture of brows facing forward with no brow make up on. I will then advise if I can and your options.

Please be aware I charge more since more has to go into getting the achieved results. I cannot guarantee any results as I don’t know what the artist before me did. I do not do just touch up it would be an initial session with me.

    • INSTRUCTIONS 2 WEEKS BEFORE

BOTOX: If you get Botox or Dysport it must be done at least 14 days before prior to your appointment. I ask this because it take two weeks to settle into the skin. If failure to do so you will be sent home and asked to pay another deposit.

BROW CLEAN UP WAXING/THREADING: I always advise my clients to let their brows grow out, this gives me the maximum amount of natural hair to work with for best results. Once we have achieved your desired shape, I will then clean them up for you. If you must clean up your brows, please do so two weeks prior to your appointment. Fresh waxed skin can cause irritation. If you tint your brows please do so 7 days prior.

RETIN-A: Its important that refrain from using any Retin-A products around the brow area for 2 weeks leading up to your appointment.

    • INSTRUCTIONS 24 HOURS BEFORE

      1. To minimize bleeding during the procedure please avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine. Blood thinning medication such as Ibuprofen and Advil should also be avoided unless prescribed by your doctor.

      2. Avoid exercise as it increases blood flow and will cause excessive bleeding.

      3. Wash your hair! You wont be able to submerge your face into the water for 14 days, so wash your hair before hand to give yourself a few extra days between your next wash.

      4. Map out your direction and leave early if need be due to traffic. I have a strict 7 minute late policy to ensure we have the proper time to complete the service.

  • You may experience minor swelling or redness around the treated area. This is normal and will subside usually within 24 hours. Over the next few hours you will notice a change in the color of your pigment. The skin will oxidize by appearing darker and warmer (red) in color. Pigment will usually lighten about 20-40% once fully healed.

Day 3-4 you may experience light scabbing and flakiness on the treated area. Don’t worry is normal and apart of the healing process. Do not pick at your brows as this will lift the pigment and can cause scarring to the skin. Let your skin heal itself properly, it may appear patchy until the entire brow is finished healing. Once all the flaking is complete (usually around day 10) the brows will appear lighter. The pigment will then return to its actual healed color over the next 4-6 weeks.

At 4-6 weeks your brows will be fully healed. Any pigment that did not stay will be address at your touch up appointment. This appointment is the perfecting stage, we will access your retention and results and touch up any areas as needed. This is also the time to adjust the pigment color if need be (if you want to go darker). You will then follow same aftercare instructions for touch up as well. Once healed you will have beautiful brows for 12-36 months.

  • It is your responsibility to follow aftercare instructions exactly to ensure best healed results. All products are provided to you at your appointment, make sure to hold on to them for the touch up as well!

    1. Always wash hands before touching your brows. Cleanse your brows morning and night for the next 7 days. (No circular or scrubbing motions, just gently front to back)

    2. Take a cotton round and put it in water, then apply it to your brows removing any soap residue. (Doing same cleansing motions)

    3. Take a clean paper towel and gently pat your brows dry. Then take a pea size amount (this is enough for both of your brows) and apply a thin breathable layer to your brows. You will apply the balm 2-3 times a day for the next 14 days.

    4. Keep brows dry (outside of cleansing) for the next 14 days. Do not submerge your face into the water, if you need to wash your hair make sure to tilt your head all the way back and let the soap residue run to the back of your head. No saunas, lakes, pools, oceans etc for the next 14 days. No excessive sweating, this means no working out for my gym rats!

    5. No make up on your brows until they’re completely healed. You may wear make up around your brows. To prevent infection leave about an inch between your brows and make up.

    6. Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks. please plan vacations and outdoor events accordingly. If you must be in the sun for period of time wear a hat the protect your brows from the sun.

    7. Do not picky, scratch, touch or rub your brows during healing. This will cause patchy healing and scarring!

    8. Never use anything that lightens, brightens or tightens the skin on your brows as it will fade your pigment. (Rentinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc)
